It has been a good 3 weeks break since my last job. Actually, I give myself a week break first before starting to look for a job again. This is because I didn't take much break after the last day of poly break. However, I don't regret it.

I tried to look for direct job interview but one only manage to call back. I went for the interview but almost fell asleep during the interview. The job scope was ok but I am not sure why I was so sleepy. Moreover, there is no overtime pay for that job. That even make me want to reject the offer. Luckily, they told me they will get back to be by the end of the month. This sentence also means, "Thanks for trying but we do not need you. Goodbye."

After that, I went theough agency. There were 2 two agency that I register with. Firstly, it is Recruit Express. I don't like to register under this agency as I need to pay $50 if I accept a perm job. Hence I was praying that they couldn't find any jobs that suit me. In the end, they only came back with one offer. They send my resume to the client but have yet to attend the interview. I must say that they are very slow in finding jobs. I have not heard from them for almost a week.

Another agency I registered with sis Success Human Resource. I don't need to pay any commission to them if I accept any job offer. They help me send my resume to about 5 clients. They are quick to response back. Whenever they find an job that is suitable they will call back to ask whether I want to send my resume. So effective.

Interview #2 (found by Success)
This interview is with DBS Bank at Chai Chee. I didn't know there is an office there until now. By the way, there is only one department there and it is huge. One of the interviewer made me feel comfortable by chatting with me while waiting for another interviewer. The interviewer made me feel less nervous when the actual interview was in progress. I was disappointed that they didn't accept me immediately. However, I look forward to other job interview.

The shocking news was I had to attend a 2nd interview. This brings my hope high. I went to the interview with heads held high, thinking I might have a chance since they are giving me a 2nd chance. However, the 2nd interview wasn't for the job I applied but another. The previous interviewers were impressed by my performance that they do not want to lose me. Since I am not suitable for the job, they gave me another job. The 2nd interview was shorter than the 1st. The important thing they have to confirm was whether I am willing to work at Alexander. I was hesitated at first as it was far. But they told me that it could be a temporary arrangement and I might be posted back to Chai Chee in 2 months (if possible). Hence I accepted the offer. I called the agency to tell them about the offer. The agency called me back after a few hours to tell me the salary. I was shocked when I heard the salary. It is $1800++. I expected $1500 but it is more. I am so happy to get more salary but I hope there is overtime pay too. Also I have no seen the contact so I don't know what else to expect -- good news and bad news.

I have not start work yet. Most probably next week and I have yet to sign the contract.
