I went to Orchard Road to celebrate New Year and also to take pictures. Unlike last year where we join the crowd and got dirty, we went to a quiet place, i.e. Tanglin Mall to celebrate among ourselves. Last year celebration was chaos as many females got molested (I was not one of them)


This year we decided to stay away from the crowded areas of Orchard Road. Even though there are police on patrol, I prefer to play safe.






Firstly, my family (except my dad as he is working) went to LJS at Bedok for late lunch, which is about 1700. Before that, I was suffering because I was sick (in detail I was having diarrhoea). At first, I don't feel like going. But after taking medicine and Vitagen, I felt better. Hehe...


Later, we (mom, siblings, cousin and aunt) went to Far East Plaza to shop. This was my sister idea as she wanted to buy clothings. In the end, she didn't buy any and I bought a new pair of jeans (black in colour) @ S$59.90. Soon most shop started to close (at about 2130) and we went to Ramen Ten for dinner. Having a late lunch, my sister and I were not hungry. We shared our food while the rest ordered their own.

Then we walked to Tanglin Mall. I tell you it was very far, about half hour walk. Along the way, we took some pictures. When we reach Tanglin Mall, we continue to take more pictures. After that, we went to Mcdonald to rest and reenergise.

Knowing that the MRT and Orchard area will be packed, we decided to take bus no: 7 home. It was an hour trip to Bedok Interchange. We boarded the bus at around 2345 and reach Bedok at about 0040. We knew there were no bus available and thought of walking home. Luckily my dad called to ask us where are we. We explained our situation and he came to fetch us home. However, my aunt and cousin took the taxi home which cost them about S$9 (including midnight charge.)

Overall, I enjoyed myself. For countdown to 2009, I hope to celebrate with my friends if possible. Anyway, Happy New Year!
